Where Alpine Elegance Meets Timeless Comfort
Four decades of growth, change, and staying true to the mountains
Six rustic cabins, a wood-fired sauna, and more optimism than sense. My dad ran the front desk out of a converted tool shed.
Added the main lodge and restaurant. Got our first real chef - Claude, who's somehow still with us and still refusing to put ketchup on the tables.
The spa and wellness center opened after my sister convinced us that people wanted more than just skiing and beer. She was annoyingly right.
Went carbon-neutral, installed geothermal heating, built our own water treatment facility. Grandpa would've loved this part.
Look, we're not gonna pretend we invented luxury or discovered the mountains. What we do is create a space where you can actually exhale - properly exhale - maybe for the first time in months.
We've got the fancy stuff, sure. Thread counts that'd make your accountant weep. A wine cellar that took two decades to build. But honestly? Most guests remember the quiet. The way the snow sounds at 3am. How the coffee tastes when you're watching the sunrise from your balcony.
That's what grandpa saw that day with his busted ankle. Not dollar signs - just a place where people could remember what peace feels like.
Three generations of mountain obsessives
Geothermal heating for the whole resort, solar panels on every roof we could find. Our energy bill's actually lower now than it was in 2005.
Built our own facility in 2018. Every drop gets treated and reused where possible. The gardens have never looked better, and we're not pulling from the watershed.
Over 80% of our food comes from within 100km. We know our suppliers by name - heck, most of 'em have stayed here. Supporting neighbors just makes sense.
We're at 87% diversion right now. Composting, recycling, and getting creative with what used to be "trash." Aiming for 95% by 2025.
We offset what we can't eliminate through verified reforestation projects in BC. Not perfect, but we're working on it every single day.
Learn More About Our InitiativesMy grandfather used to say the mountains don't belong to us - we belong to them. Sounds cheesy, but after 40+ years up here, I get it.
Every guest who leaves a bit more relaxed, every kid who sees their first black bear (from a safe distance!), every couple who reconnects over a quiet dinner... that's why we keep doing this.
The luxury stuff? That's just how we make sure you're comfortable enough to actually experience the magic. The real product is the mountains, the quiet, the reset button you didn't know you needed.
Experience It Yourself"Best decision we ever made was taking our anniversary here. Left our phones in the room for three days. Actually talked to each other again."
